- cyberbillpFebruary 25, 2025I love this movie. I'm reading the comics right now. The movie closely follows several storylines in the comics. I do feel the leads were mis-cast. Sometimes Lauraline hits her comic counterparts feisty personality, and sometimes she misses. As far as Valerian, he's just not the right guy. The parts calls for a young Ryan Reynolds, Paul Rudd or Val Kilmer. We have a dearth of young, good actors these days that would fit the part. So for this I knock off a half star. But man, what a great movie otherwise. It gets better with every viewing. The opening sequence is so full of hope and aspirations. It's an absolute cinematic treasure. That alone is worth the price of admission.
- Toronto122April 19, 2025I have yet to figure out what all the negative reviews are about. It's by no means a masterpiece, but taken at face value, it's a good time. Lots of bright colors, hugely imaginative, and we'll paced. Oh, and Major Tom and the beginning is perfect!

- DadAugust 31, 2025Great visuals and soundtrack make this a sensory delight. The production had a 5th Element vibe so it was no surprise to find it's a Luc Besson film. The lead actors were unknown's to me but were likeable in their roles. If I could fault one thing it was Dane DeHaan's scratchy voice but you get used to it. 😂 Overall, a good watch.
