USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage Ratings & Reviews
- ርልዪረOctober 15, 2025Yes, I’m aware of the negative reviews of this film, but by far prefer to reach my own conclusions. This was, in my opinion, a very worthy effort to capture the extraordinary bravery and endurance of the captain and crew, members of what was clearly our very greatest generation. This in the face of extreme terror and hopelessness, which were captivatingly also captured by the film. Repugnant of course was the subsequent effort to make the captain a scapegoat, in light of the significant doubt any blame was his to bear at all. Overall, quite a worthy effort by Cage and the entire cast to claim and embrace some of the most courageous moments in American military history.
- Charles LondonFebruary 26, 2025The first half of this historical dramatization is frightening and sobering. The second half is educational and enlightening. We all knew about the sinking and the sharks, and the movie does a good job of showing us that, but who among us knew of the resulting court-martial and the Japanese U-boat commander who testified on behalf of the USS Indianapolis captain after sinking his ship?
