The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim Ratings & Reviews
- Billy ZaneMarch 29, 2025Not sure why all the bad reviews. Could have been a bit shorter, but it was an entertaining LOTR animated movie.
- TomFebruary 11, 2025Amazing demonstration of what can come out of Lord of the Rings when the movie is even more fantastical. Great voice acting with well done fight scenes. Only thing that stops this from being 5* is a 5 minutes segment that felt a little slow in the middle of the movie.
- Ty LeetDecember 31, 2024Mediocre LOTR content, not great animation content.
- BLOCKBUSTERFebruary 9, 2025Artful yes. Lord of the Rings? Not as much. Unlike other mythologies where an animated show or movie slots into the cinematic continuity it belongs in, War of Rohirrim feels.. cheap at times when it tries to do the same. And just not rewatchable by any means.
- Darren WebsterDecember 29, 2024It's a fun watch. A bit long and windy at parts. It's totally made up, well, mostly. The female protaganist is 100% made up. Essentially, someone took the appendixes at the end of The Lord of The Rings and then tried to make an original work out of it. It's not Tolkien's writing or story. Just someone hoping that associating their made up crap with the legendary author will make them big. The really stupid thing is that the story itself isn't bad, a bit cliche maybe, but it isn't bad. Had they just called it something else and not tied it to LOTR, I honestly think nobody would GAF. instead, what youb get is someone using a beloved writer and his stories and world to gain some notoriety. Bottomline, it's okay. If you like more realistic anime, you'll liek this. And, honestly, if you like Peter Jackson's LOTR, well, you'll enjoy this.
