Where to Watch The House of the Spirits
- Evelyn OlanskyJanuary 19, 2026A really well made movie for its time, though unfortunately it's focused on the story's least redeemable character, an unrepentant elite who refused to acknowledge the power of the working class until it rose up against him democratically. Meryl Streep is a treat but unfortunately the movie is only about her because she married the protagonist. Glenn Close is arresting as the story's most punished lead player. Also it's a bunch of white people cosplaying as Spanish elites while the actors portraying working class people were all seemingly people of color.
- evantoon66September 10, 2025Amazing cast and story line.
- another92June 1, 2026What a cast! What a horrible movie. I lasted 10 minutes. I only watched for the cast. How was this made? Who actually financed this garbage? How are people giving it five stars? Do they know that's the highest score? They're literally putting this on par with Schindler's List and Citizen Kane? Puh-lease! Run. Run away!
