The Blue Knight Ratings & Reviews
Mister Arn
October 29, 2024
*The Blue Knight* feels like a product of its era—a gritty character study of a weary, cynical cop who's been on the force too long. William Holden’s performance injects life into the role, adding depth to a character hanging on by a thread. While Holden’s portrayal keeps things engaging, the film drags on, leading to an unsatisfying conclusion that doesn’t quite justify its slow burn.
New York Times
John J. O'Connor
The Blue Knight strives intelligently for that elusive television commodity called quality. And whenever any network shows signs of trying to meet its obligations in that area, the effort alone can be invigorating.
