  • An absolutely epic and heartbreaking finale. Star Wars Revenge Of the Sith is a very very ambitious & powerful entry in the Star Wars saga. This 💯 feels like a final chapter of a trilogy all the way through. It just has that looming sense of dread about it and it all feels such high stakes as well. I just love how a lot more darker & tragic in tone. And on top of that "Hayden Christensen's performance as "Anakin" is lightyears better than it was in "Attack Of The Clones." He's absolutely phenomenal all the way through and what I love about his performance in "Revenge Of The Sith" is that it totally mirrors his slow turn & transformation into "Darth Vader" it was as if "Hayden" had more time to work with and develop himself into the character of both Anakin & Vader, its very very telling, because it definitely shows throughout this film. Remember there was a three year gap between "Attack Of The Clones" & "Revenge Of The Sith" an absolutely amazing turnaround from him, from being terrible and a laughing stock in the previous film, to being totally & utterly phenomenal in this and what really makes a difference, is how vastly better the dialogue that he's given to work with here as well. Also the Lightsaber battles between Obi-Wan & General Grevious and Yoda & Darth Sidious are brilliant action sequences. But the one that steals the show is Anakin vs Obi-Wan on Mustafar a 💯 The combination of the outstanding choreography, volcanic setting, John Williams iconic score and the emotional weight and history between Anakin & Obi-Wan makes it one of the most memorable duels in the entire saga. 🔥⚔️ Also Ewan McGregor is totally out of this world as Obi-Wan once again. Bringing humour, warmth, and genuine sadness to the character. His relationship with Anakin is the heart of the movie, and with "Hayden Christensen" putting in an awesome performance really elevates it and the whole film to another level. Ian Mcdiarmid also plays "Palpatine" at his most manipulative & sinister best, while the transformation of "Anakin" into "Darth Vader" gives the film its tragic emotional core. This entry also does a terrific job at connecting the prequel trilogy into the original trilogy. From seeing the Jedi Order fall, the Republic become an Empire, the birth of Luke & Leia and Anakin become Darth Vader gives the entire saga a much greater sense of continuity. And that final sequence when "Darth Vader" is standing aboard the "Death Star" and looking out into space, is an incredibly powerful bridge & window into the original trilogy. Overall "Star Wars Revenge of the Sith" is an absolutely phenomenal, epic and powerful movie all the way through. This is what you call a truly great and top tier "Star Wars" movie. And "Revenge of the Sith" is exactly that!!! I 💯 Love this film all the way through. And I can't find or see a single flaw with it, its totally amazing.

Watching these movies was painful. They are the most over-hyped and overrated movies in the history of science fiction. The acting isn’t great, the CGI (which is 75% of the movie) is average at best, the dialogue and the writing rarely rise to any level above thay of a children's movie. Don't get me started on the fight scenes. The choreography is terribly basic. I've seen children play stick fighting with better moves. George Lucas owes me 15 hours of my life back. It's as if the people who are serious about star wars are under collective hypnosis, convincing themselves these movies are anything but just okay. These movies are on average 2 stars out of 5, imho.

This is such a double edged sword, on one hand it is the BEST Star Wars movie of all time, on the other hand it’s really sad to watch, this makes for a bitter sweet viewing experience. As a fan of the prequels & Anakin Skywalker it’s hard to watch everything that unfold in the third act of this film, but overall this is the most well written & most epic film of any Star Wars movie. The cast is excellent again like in ‘Attack of the Clones’, so verbatim I said “Hayden Christensen who was always my favourite Star Wars actor & essentially the saving grace for the franchise, I wanted to be him when I was a kid, I still think the guy is awesome. Natalie Portman which is just unfathomably beautiful, I had a crush on her as a kid & still do now. If I ever were to “ship” a fictional relationship as they say on TikTok, it would certainly be Anakin & Padmé, they are perfect for eachother. This prequel trilogy would be NOTHING without Hayden Christensen”. I also still wholeheartedly agree with my stance on Samuel L Jackson & Ewan McGregor being fantastic casting choices. Another great thing about this film is the CGI was incredible, it sucked in ‘The Phantom Menace’ but was great in ‘Attack of the Clones’ but then they stepped it up to a whole other level in this film, the robots were photo realistic, the fauna looked fantastic, the space scenes were perfect, the environments & different planets & cities too, everything was just great. On top of that the master looked great, unlike the ‘Phantom Menace’ which I explained in detail in my review for why it looks terrible, the previous film ‘Attack of the Clones’ looked much better & really good, but the master of this one was just finally executed properly, I figure they finally were able to do CGI in 4k because it looks crisp & detailed as it should, this obviously depends on you as the viewer either obtaining a 4k UHD physical copy or having a 20-40gb 4K HDR digital copy, how you watch it is up to you but a streaming service or a file less than 10gb will NOT cut it. The score was epic, I don’t mean to undersell it but at this point we all agree that Star Wars has always had an exceptional score, but this film & the previous film really mogged the other films in terms of score. But the true reason this is the best Star Wars film is the EPIC final battle, the hardcore aesthetic of the battle on the volatile lava planet Mustafar, the battle takes place on exploding splashes of lava on a river of lava as all the platforms to stand on are splashing around & sinking while the infamous songs ‘Battle of the Heroes’, ‘Anakin vs. Obi-Wan’ & of course ‘Duel of the Fates’ plays in the background while they are shouting at eachother, this whole scene, as well as the whole arc of the movie & all the actions Anakin is manipulated into doing is heartbreaking, the dialogue between Anakin & Obi-wan honestly made me shed a literal tear. I also shed one for the Padmaé scene afterwards. The opening first act in General Grievous's ship (the Invisible Hand) is also perfect, everything about it, the action, the robots, the banter, the execution of Count Dooku, all of it was perfect, such an unimprovable opening act. This movie was heartbreaking & really hard to endure despite the fact I’ve seen it numerous times before, despite that though it is undeniably the best, most well written & most epic film in the entire Star Wars franchise by far. For those reasons I have to rate it 10/10 (Masterpiece / Top tier / Instant favorite), that said I have to be in the right mood to watch it, if I’m looking for a feel good experience then I’d prefer to watch ‘Attack of the Clones’ but when open for a dark, emotional experience where I’m prepared to suffer, this is the better film by far. I want to say more as I have the most to say about this film but after binging & writing long reviews for all 3 films today I’m kind of tapped out of writing. Just trust me, it’s worth watching. The last thought I’ll leave you with is the fact that as somebody pointed out to me, if you had never seen a Star Wars movie before “you could honestly watch JUST this one depending on how much you'd learned via cultural osmosis of the rest”, which essentially boils down to knowing the infamous "I am your father" plot twist from the original trilogy, anybody that knows that (which is virtually everybody) could just watch this one entry & leave satisfied without ever watching the other films.

Amazing movie! Tons of suspense and emotion, all I think a good movie should have. And don’t forget the mustafar and general grevious duels.

In Episode III, Hayden Christensen finally showed up. He had actual emotion, anger, and intensity that was completely missing in Episode II. The scene where he turns to the dark side and the final fight with Obi Wan are probably his best moments in the entire prequel trilogy. He wasn’t perfect, but compared to the sleepy, dead eyed Anakin from Episode II, his performance in Episode III was a huge improvement.

    The Saga has completed

Well scripted, carefully executed, honouring each detail that would later be revealed in the later chapters, added with the visual effects that weren’t available 26 years ago, the Revenge of the Sith is my favourite “closure” sequel of the prequels. With all the “expected to happen” plot, there are small surprises and twists that would make one think “interesting, but makes sense”. Often the time critics and Star Wars fans look down upon the prequels but this one stood up to appraise many, not even compared to the later sequels of disappointments (Rogue One aside). Let the legend live on, and hope we don’t completely lose all these spirits to IPs that just aim for corporate profit. May the force be with you all.
