The pacing is tight, the characters feel timeless, and that sense of wonder is still there from the first shot to the last. It’s adventurous, funny, sincere, and somehow bigger than itself. It was a serendipitously a near perfect film created the perfect time when sci-fi could mature to this point and create fandom in a way that hadn't been created before. Fascinating for its cultural mythology as it moved onwards to define itself as one of the most important franchises of the 20th and later the 21st century it is a tragedy in and of its own how it completely dissolved into meaningless corporate ghost of itself. But this one. Especially without all The changes Lucas tact on somewhere in the middle of the '90s has a pureness to it that is clear how it made out to be something so special that lasted for so long.

Star Wars took a simple formula with a narrative constructed off of cherry picked ideas from other stories and gave fans an amazing sci-fi fantasy that continues to inspire future generations.
