Assassins End feels like the beginning of a new direction, with more of an ensemble cast than the previous lone hero and a few friends routine. It’s also much more of an action thriller than some of its slower, more plodding predecessors. Yes it’s more than a little run of the mill and formulaic, but it is at least entertaining, with a simple to follow story, good effects and a continuing, higher than average production value, for what is a straight to disc franchise.
