Toñín, a fourteen-year-old kid, enters to work as an errand boy in the flower shop "El Pensamiento". His first task is to bring the bouquet to a bride, but he gets held up, arrives late, and is forced to go to church during the ceremony. His second job is to carry a death wreath, but he uses it to save a man who was drowning in the river. Naturally, he is also late for burial. In the afternoon, he must bring a basket of flowers to television studios, where the famous singer Carolina performs. But he is wrong and takes another death crown, which they deliver to the star in a great close-up. Finally, he is sent to a costume party, where he will meet the children's movie star Mariluz. In response to customer complaints, he will be fired and the "Needed boy" sign will be placed in the store again.
