Where to Watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
- ZokkiieJune 26, 2026This one goes bigger and more ridiculous than the first movie, and honestly that’s part of the fun. It expands the pirate world with more supernatural stuff, stranger characters, and some really memorable moments. Johnny Depp is still the best part as Jack Sparrow, bringing the same chaotic energy that makes the character work. Davy Jones is also a great addition and probably one of the strongest parts of the sequel. The story is where it loses a bit compared to the first one. It’s more complicated, the pacing isn’t always great, and it sometimes feels like it’s mostly setting things up for what comes next. But the action, visuals, and weird pirate mythology keep it entertaining. Not as good as Curse of the Black Pearl, but still a really fun adventure.
- Rick MastersJuly 21, 2025Holy shit, the special effects for this 2006 movie are quite something! DEAD MAN’S CHEST is a strong follow up to the incredible original. Sure the narrative is as convoluted as a drunk pirates credit score but its a ship load of fun, features a terrific villain and sets up part two beautifully.

And it is a very unique continuing of the first movie’s characters and plot by revealing more lore and secrets of the sea. Plus the kraken sequences are just jaw dropping action 24/7, it’s so f**king amazing! A must watch for POTC fans!
