Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood's golden age.

Really good acting and character work but honestly I didn't get the hype. It was good....just not that good. Ending was alot of fun tho

Watched the first half on an iPad and the second half in 4K on the big screen….you know, as intended Just an excess number of driving shots. Hope Quentin learned his lesson from Kill Bill and isn’t putting actors or stuntmen at risk of death anymore! And ugh the foot shots man….get a fucking grip on yourself Truly cannot get over how much Polanski looks like Austin Powers at the party Did love the Kate Berlant part! Dakota Fanning, Harley Quinn Smith, Victoria Pedretti, Maya Hawke, Margaret Qualley, Sydney Sweeney, and Mikey Madison all being part of the cult is as insane as the cult itself. Oh, and Austin Butler Also, Mikey getting burnt alive in a film twice in a couple of years will never not be funny as hell I’ve really gotta start trusting drunk Dylan more. His opinions are valid!

There are some flaws, but DiCaprio has a certain charm that makes this such an interesting film, plus some fun humor and an interesting ending/take on tragic real events.

I guess it's well made and well acted but I don't get why the fuck anybody would ever want to watch it

AMAZING. The DiCaprio-Pitt duo is far my favourite duo. One of my favourite movies

It's fun but not as great as advertised, but it's definitely worth a watch. It is like most of the director's movies in that it has no real direction in the story, aimless, a little pointless. The casts performance is wonderful

Tried to like it but just not memorable and absolutely no rewatch value. Characters and acting falls flat. Some of the outrageous scenes are cringe that it was even made.

Tarantino, known for his cinematic erudition, who throughout his professional life has paid homage to exploitation cinema, Italian genre productions and old classic Hollywood, had to make such a film eventually. He transported us back in time to Hollywood in the late 1960s, on the cusp of change, and told the story of a fictional film and television star (played by DiCaprio) and his stunt double (Brad Pitt), intertwining it with real characters: Polanski, Sharon Tate, the Manson Family, etc. The director deserves respect for his extremely authentic reproduction of the scenographic details of the era and for his numerous references to his favourite films from those years. Unfortunately, it is a pity that the film's plot is a little weak, the pace is slow, and it gives the impression of being a series of disjointed and unrelated sequences, which, however, allows the viewer to get a feel for the era and empathise with the characters. The finale, on the other hand, rewards the viewer's patience and provides an unforgettable experience.
