Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

- ZokkiieAugust 5, 2025A pretty weak entry in the Jurassic franchise. The whole “friendly raptor” thing really drags it down—Blue’s bond with Chris Pratt feels more like a cheesy pet story than a dinosaur thriller. The plot gets messy fast, with a weird haunted house vibe in the second half that doesn’t quite land. That said, Isabella Sermon is a standout—gives a surprisingly strong performance for such a young actor. Not terrible, just kind of forgettable.

- Ray HopkinJuly 29, 2025I know this is ridiculous, but I loved it! I liked the quandary it throws up, should they be allowed to live? Should we help them? The shot from the boat as they are leaving the volcano stricken island is so moving it caused me to get some dust in my eye... The scene of blue as a baby was awesome, and the Indo-Raptor staking everyone around the mansion was brilliant.

- Spencer MBJuly 10, 2025Pure blockbuster shlock and a crap movie...but I enjoyed almost every second of action once everything went to shit. There's a rhythm to every action sequence that, while cliche, uses those cliches perfectly where the characters escape within a micrometer of their lives every time. Genuinely fun but also incredibly stupid.
