Asakusa Shirane-gumi's proxy, Kakutaro Yoshii, has a household with Mayumi, but a conscription warrant comes. She managed to survive with Okazaki, whom she met on the battlefield, but Mayumi was nowhere to be seen in Asakusa, where she had been demobilized. One day, Kakutaro hears a rumor that she is in her traveling entertainer troupe, and sets out on a journey to find Mayumi.
