- MitchAugust 24, 2026Not as good as the first Guardians for me. It felt like the bad guy for this one was just Ultron but on a galactic scale. He's a consciousness that makes himself a physical form and you cant really beat him but have to destroy him. I don;t know but that's what I get and don't really vibe with it. Some really good emotional moments though that end up doing a lot of the heavy lifting for what I feel is an underwhelming story. At least it isn't Guardians Vol. 3 though, so it has that going for it.
- MBUlovesCinemaJuly 30, 2026I honestly think this movie was even more emotional than the first one. I loved how it wasn’t just another “save the galaxy” movie. It focused so much on family and what family actually means. Yondu’s character ended up surprising me the most. Didn’t expect him to become one of my favourite characters by the end. Also Tiny Groot somehow manages to steal almost every scene he’s in. The humour was great, but when the emotional scenes came… they actually hit. Definitely one of my favourite MCU movies. 9/10
- ZokkiieJune 15, 2026This is the kind of sequel that understands what made the first one work and just doubles down on it. The characters are still the biggest strength, the humor is on point, and the chemistry between the whole group is what makes the movie so much fun. The soundtrack, visuals, and overall style give it a ton of personality too. It does lean a little too hard into the jokes at times, and some of the emotional moments feel a bit forced compared to the best parts of the series. Still, when it hits, it really hits. The cast is great, the movie has a lot of heart, and it manages to be funny, weird, and surprisingly touching all at once. A very easy movie to enjoy.

- HakihikoMarch 11, 2026More Heart, More Chaos "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" doubles down on everything that made the first film memorable: colorful visuals, irreverent humor, and a soundtrack that once again becomes part of the movie's identity. It may not feel as fresh as the original, but it still delivers a very entertaining ride. The film leans much more into the emotional side of the story, especially with the themes of family and belonging. The characters are given more room to explore their relationships and insecurities, and some of the emotional moments land surprisingly well. At its best, the movie balances its absurd comedy with genuine heart. Visually, it's one of the most vibrant entries in the MCU. The cosmic settings are imaginative and bold, embracing the weirdness of the universe without hesitation. The action sequences are energetic and creative, even if sometimes they become a bit chaotic. The humor works well here, as in the first chapter. The jokes land often, and the comedic timing between the characters makes many scenes genuinely funny. It keeps the movie light and entertaining without undermining the emotional moments. The main weakness lies in how the story between Peter and his father is handled. While the idea behind it is interesting and important for the character, its development feels somewhat uneven, and the resolution could have been explored with more depth to make the emotional payoff stronger. Still, the charm of the cast and the emotional core keep everything engaging. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" may not quite reach the level of its predecessor, but it remains a heartfelt and visually fun chapter.
