- RonFlix316August 12, 2025Pop culture foundations, anything less than 5 stars is sacrilegious
- edgarnacianceno6d agoAwesome movie!
- fosternccmNovember 2, 2025One of the best movies! A great mix of action and comedy! It holds up really well being over 40 years old!
- GBWestNovember 1, 2025One of the best of the fun, family films of the 1980's that has way more cussing in it than you'll remember later. I've been watching this movie since 1984, it was a staple of my childhood, and now my kids' childhood. The content of the film is fun and light, with enough character diversity played out by it fantastic cast that you will be quoting this movie for a lifetime.
- kelown7October 31, 2025Classic!
- RichardOctober 5, 2025First saw it in the cinema, then owned it on VHS and later on DVD. Each format brought its own kind of magic. Seeing Ghostbusters in the cinema was like being hit by a bolt of supernatural comedy lightning. The crowd energy, the booming sound of proton packs firing and the sheer scale of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man stomping through Manhattan, it was unforgettable. Later, owning it on VHS was like keeping a piece of that experience in your living room. The tape had that soft analog warmth, the occasional tracking fuzz and the thrill of rewinding to rewatch your favorite lines: “When someone asks you if you're a god… you say YES!” Each format marked a different era of my relationship with the film: Cinema gave me the awe. VHS gave me the comfort. DVD gave me the clarity. Maybe I will buy the 4k aniversary edition too. And through it all, Ghostbusters remained effortlessly quotable, endlessly rewatchable and deeply woven into the fabric of pop culture. It’s not just a movie, it’s a memory machine.
- Paul SteeleSeptember 6, 2025Ghostbusters is an all-round fun family movie about four guys from New York City who make a living hunting the paranormal. The film is packed with memorable characters and visuals — from Slimer to the iconic Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. The cast couldn’t have been better: Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver bring the story to life with perfect chemistry. The soundtrack — especially the unforgettable theme song — is just as much a part of the movie’s identity as the actors themselves. I don’t really have any complaints about this film. It was a massive hit when it came out and remains one of the defining movies of the 1980s. I’d recommend Ghostbusters to anyone looking for a good laugh wrapped up in paranormal adventure.
- GemsDoesWatchAugust 25, 2025this movie is amazing! sadly the sequels arent... BUT THIS ONE IS GOOD
- MetroidTalonAugust 22, 2025Effortlessly cool and endlessly quotable, Ghostbusters blends supernatural thrills with razor-sharp comedy in a way that still feels unmatched. The cast is firing on all cylinders, the effects hold up with charm, and the pacing never lets the energy dip. Bill Murray’s dry wit, Harold Ramis’s deadpan brilliance, and Dan Aykroyd’s wide-eyed enthusiasm create a perfect storm of character chemistry. Add one of the most iconic theme songs in film history, and you’ve got a cultural lightning bolt. A genre-defining classic that still crackles with energy and personality.
- tellumAugust 19, 2025A truly bizarre film when you think about it. The concept seems normal now because of this movie, and communicating and interacting with ghosts was a popular notion thanks to things like ouija boards, but the idea of developing technology and starting a business around Hunting Ghosts was really absurd for the time. It works and is a classic thanks to multiple comedic acting legends.
- mickerdooJuly 2, 2025All star cast, dry humor, over the top 80s visuals and a ridiculous supernatural story make this one of the great comedies of all time.
- Valar23June 27, 2025Great movie but I wish I had more than just two ghost fights. Haha. I just feel like seeing someone on the screen ghost would have been really cool. Otherwise really funny movie, and a really great sense of style.
- HarleyJune 16, 2025Given the amount of property damage these Ghostbusters incur, I think I'll take my chances with the ghosts.
