

David
Directed by Peter LilienthalDavid (Mario Fischel), the son of a local rabbi (Walter Taub), sees the rise in anti-Semitism in 1930s Germany, but it isn't until his father's synagogue is burned down and his mother (Irene Vrkijan) is harassed and intimidated that he realizes just how dangerous Germany has become. For a while, he and his family manage to survive underground in Berlin. But a close encounter with a German officer convinces him to break ties with everyone he loves and head out on his own.
