Creed III Ratings & Reviews
- Kevin Ward5d agoFilm opens with a Dr. Dre beat from The Chronic 2001, 🤌🏼. Then eventually the full song drops in 🤌🏼🤌🏼 Cheat code to put me in a good mood from the get go. Johnathan Majors was stellar. He’s such a commanding presence on screen. Would have been nice to have even more of him. The boxing matches are depicted with a good amount of visual flair and always plenty of energy. The final fight in particular is rather unique in it’s portrayal. Instead of a fight montage for with bell rings to signify each passing round, we something very different (I won’t say what it is, you’ll notice it though). I liked it stylistically, but as a consequence we get what feels like a very jarring jump from round 2 to 11. It’s a minor gripe, but I mention it because I could definitely feels others in the audience having the same reaction I did. It doesn’t detract much though. By the end of the match my theater was cheering as if we were watching a live pay per view event. Have to give props to Michael B. Jordan’s direction. It’s extremely well shot and well paced. The story beats are 1000% predictable but when you’ve got Jordan and Majors going head to head, it’s pretty electric to watch whether they’re inside the ring or outside.
- jaygee1267February 25, 2025I love this entire series. It was very well written. I do miss Sylvester Stallone. Maybe he can be in part four if there is one I love the plot line. The acting was great.
