- RichardDecember 7, 2025Even though I never played the games, I found myself enjoying the Borderlands movie. It had a wild, chaotic energy that pulled me in, with colorful characters and over the top action that made it fun to watch. The humor and style felt exaggerated in the best way, like the film knew it was meant to be outrageous and leaned into that fully. What stood out was how accessible it was, you didn’t need to know the game’s lore to follow along. The movie delivered a mix of sci-fi adventure and comedy that worked on its own terms. For me, it was simply entertaining and I think it deserves credit for being more fun than many expected. By the time it ended, I realized it had given me exactly what I wanted: a loud, stylish ride that didn’t take itself too seriously.
- ScottDecember 14, 2024I don’t really know how this was supposed to work since the fun of the game is not the writing but the novelty of picking up a wacky gun to figure out what it will do. But whatever the way forward was Eli definitely didn’t find it.
- Sean SmithFebruary 26, 2025Poor claptrap the voice was a tragedy for those of us that were fond of the games.
- cyber4515March 22, 2025I was disappointed in the depth of the story but it’s good action and the characters are likable if at times wooden.
- Dellvon C. FordNovember 8, 2024The women carry this movie...they were awesome........I really appreciated the all or nothing approach to doing this film....
- pec629October 25, 2025Very entertaining but easily forgotten
- jdubz557July 12, 2025YIKES. Originally when I went to go see this, I thought it would be one of those "so bad it's funny" movies. There's barely any material that I can actually work with to call it that though. Its lack of character development and... Interesting dialogue choices make this movie a mess, and not in a good way.
- joyalexandreOctober 25, 2025We enjoyed it. It’s a simple story that capture well the spirit of the game. The actors and their characters represented well the universe I played in the game. For sure it will have a lot less in a movie of 2 hours then a big game like Borderlands, but they kept a lot of good stuff. They nailed pretty well claptrap.

- Amir AnimashaunApril 14, 2025People either can’t have their own opinions and be heavily influenced by others or may genuinely loathe this film but it’s not that bad. I’ve never played the BORDERLANDS games but I intend to because this world/universe intrigues me for some reason. The characters look great but claptrap was so annoying throughout this movie like the humour was so forced during the whole runtime but there were some funny moments. Lilith is a hear me out though. The CGI and VFX looks really good and then can be pretty noticeably ugly at some points but that ending was shocking and cool. Last thing I have to say is that nobody’s opinion matters but your own because you can’t make a judgement of what somebody else views of it just watch it yourself and make your own evaluation.
- combsctJanuary 12, 2025It’s…..fine. It needs better writing, watching the actors deliver horrible lines was painful.
- AlexSeptember 17, 2025Dog 💩! Characters look like they are about to kick the bucket from old age, story and timeline just 💩 itself. Casting is completely off. Hopefully the game can recover got this 💩 movie! 35 minutes into it and already had to throw up twice from trying to digest this 💩
