- Amir Animashaun3d agoPeople either can’t have their own opinions and be heavily influenced by others or may genuinely loathe this film but it’s not that bad. I’ve never played the BORDERLANDS games but I intend to because this world/universe intrigues me for some reason. The characters look great but claptrap was so annoying throughout this movie like the humour was so forced during the whole runtime but there were some funny moments. Lilith is a hear me out though. The CGI and VFX looks really good and then can be pretty noticeably ugly at some points but that ending was shocking and cool. Last thing I have to say is that nobody’s opinion matters but your own because you can’t make a judgement of what somebody else views of it just watch it yourself and make your own evaluation.
- ScottDecember 14, 2024I don’t really know how this was supposed to work since the fun of the game is not the writing but the novelty of picking up a wacky gun to figure out what it will do. But whatever the way forward was Eli definitely didn’t find it.
- tellum5d agoBad enough that I legitimately judge people who give it more than 1 star. This would have been the worst movie of the year if Madam Web and Unfrosted didn’t exist. 2024 was an incredible year for horseshit cinema and this trash is part of the reason why.

It needed more like Marcus and Claptrap, actual vibrant embodiment of the game world and less dutifully checking boxes of references and big budget plot points.

I read a lot about how it's trying to be the next Guardians of the Galaxy, but honestly, the vibes I got were Hell Comes to Frogtown, and that's not a bad thing! It was a dumb, fun movie, the cast was great, and the set pieces were great.
