Bad Teacher Ratings & Reviews
- CallumDecember 28, 2025⭐⭐⭐ – Bad Teacher – A one-note joke carried by commitment. I remember enjoying this at the time, and Cameron Diaz doing genuinely solid work with the material. She leans hard into the character’s laziness, selfishness, and general moral bankruptcy, and that full commitment is what keeps the film afloat. Beyond that, though, not much has stuck. The plot, the beats, even most of the jokes blur together in hindsight, which is usually a sign that the film worked well enough in the moment but didn’t leave much of a footprint. It’s not unpleasant, and it’s not a misfire. It just doesn’t have much going on beyond its central gag, and once you’ve seen it, there’s little pulling you back for a revisit. Diaz is clearly having fun, and that energy does translate, but the rest of the film never quite matches her effort. Three stars feels about right — mildly enjoyable, lightly memorable, and largely dependent on its lead performance. 🍸 A vodka soda — clean, sharp, and forgotten almost as soon as it’s finished.
- Kristian OdlandJuly 1, 2025This movie was so enjoyable. Great character actors, hilarious situations. Can we please bring the raunchy comedy back? Lucy Punch steals the show, she is exceptional as Ms. Squirrel.
- RazorbitzNovember 29, 2025It's alright, has some fun moments and is all around harmless. Actually got a laugh out of me which is better than most comedies, but the biggest joke has got to be Justin Timberlake. Movie can't take credit for that one though!
- Walter Jospeh KovacsNovember 2, 2025Nothing funny and while I was expecting something really off the rails, it was all actually squeaky clean. Probably geared toward adolescent boys gawking at Cameron Diaz but even then, she ain't no spring chicken. Plenty of the co-stars are just people I can hardly bare seeing on screen.
- Jamie TalbotJuly 1, 2025Nothing really special about this movie. Just another mind numbing ‘comedy’ where the jokes just never really hit. The acting wasn’t awful but the script writing was. Quite a few moments during the film I’d be asking myself questions about gaps within the story and how it just quite didn't make sense. I’m not against films where the plot is shallow and the purpose is just for laughs, however this failed to make me laugh at all…
