Aliens Ratings & Reviews
- PatrikStarMay 16, 2025The 20 minutes added in the director's cut make this film perfect.
- The Gutter MonkeyFebruary 23, 2025Whether it's better than the original is a matter of taste. But there's no denying it's a classic with some of the most iconic lines of the entire franchise.
- Callum6d ago⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Aliens — This Time, It’s War (and It’s Perfect) Aliens is one of those rare sequels that doesn’t just live up to the original — it redefines what a sequel can be. Where Alien was slow, claustrophobic horror, James Cameron takes that foundation and detonates it into full-blown sci-fi action without losing what made the first film special. It’s louder, faster, angrier — and absolutely spectacular. Cameron takes everything that worked in Alien, cranks it to eleven, and then injects a hefty dose of The Terminator. The pacing is immaculate, the action relentless, and the escalation masterful. Once it gets going, it barely lets you breathe. This is a thrill-a-second experience done right, with tension that never feels cheap and action that always feels earned. Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley fully comes into her own here. If she was a survivor in the first film, she’s a force of nature in this one. Space hath no fury like a female alien scorned, and the maternal angle adds emotional weight without ever slowing things down. The Alien Queen is iconic — one of cinema’s great monsters — and the final showdown is pure, fist-pumping cinema. The supporting cast is excellent, the world-building is expanded intelligently, and the film balances humour, horror, and adrenaline with incredible confidence. Even the much-discussed director’s cut doesn’t hurt the film — it may not add much substance, but it’s worth it for the sentry guns alone. This isn’t just one of the best sequels ever made — it’s one of the best movies, full stop. A benchmark for action, sci-fi, and how to follow a classic without being crushed by it. 🥃 Pairing: A strong, no-nonsense bourbon — bold, powerful, and best enjoyed while fully alert, because this ride doesn’t slow down.
- Aaron SladeMarch 8, 2025Aliens is probably the most popular film from the franchise, and it is good - However I strongly prefer the first film (Alien) to this one. Alien was more a slow and tension filled horrow film with a relentless killer stalking the helpless crew. Aliens is much more an action packed popcorn movie. It's really good.. just not as good as Alien.
- StairwaytothestarsSeptember 18, 2025Spectacular! Space hath no fury like a female alien scorned! One of the best sequels ever made.
- madz26December 7, 2025The trend setter for Sci-Fi. An 80's classic that still holds value.
- Michael BoardNovember 16, 2025I absolutely enjoyed Aliens. It had me on the edge of my seat more than once, and it’s just a brilliant classic all around. The action, the tension, everything comes together in such a satisfying way.
- MOVEWEIGHTNovember 12, 2025Really makes you realize how much hot women carried this franchise. 🤤
- Tom MajskiNovember 2, 2025Cameron absolutly smashes it out the park. He takes everything grear about Alien, amps it up and adds a fantastic dose of The Terminator. Just a joyous movie experience from start to finish with very little, if anything to complain about. One of the best movies of all time. Sure the directors cut doesn't add much of any substance but its worth it just for the sentry guns.
- damonf October 14, 2025Second best Alien film ever.
- MekoehouveOctober 14, 2025The best sequel ever made hands down!
- Daniel TaylorOctober 10, 2025One of my all-time favourite movies to watch with my brother. Aliens is peak James Cameron, the perfect mix of tension and action. You just can’t go wrong with Sigourney Weaver kicking ass as Ripley and Michael Biehn as the quiet hero Hicks. The effects still hold up, the pacing’s flawless, and every time that motion tracker starts beeping, I’m right back on the edge of my seat. Absolute classic.
- pipanniOctober 6, 2025Probably the best sci-fi / action movie of all time. Everyone in the cast is at their best, but special praise must go to Sigourney Weaver, whose fierce Ripley is definitely someone you would want beside you in a crysis situation. With endless quotes and memes, this a movie that was forever etched in popular culture. Many flics have attempted to reach its heights, but so far nothing has come close. Unmissable for any cinema fan.
- DerekMay 30, 2025Hands down the best sci-fi action film in my library. Alien is a high tension horror film, while Aliens is a high adrenaline action ride. I love it from beginning to end. Amazing cast, story, sound effects, practical effects. Cinematography like this needs to be studied for educational purposes - Hollywood of today needs to take notes on what makes this timeless in the sci-fi horror genre.
- RonFlix316October 3, 2025A brilliant movie, never been outdone. 🎖 Sci-fi legend Sigourney 😍
