- Julie Jones12. Januar 2026It drags on and on and on endlessly but Season 1 & 2 were very entertaining. Sure there were some plot holes but some interesting twist. Season 3 is the most ridiculous, absurd offering I have seen in a while. Fathers smoking dope with daughters. A mother who seems to enjoy just killing people. I cannot recommend this, Please don't waste your time.

With a compelling dual-timeline narrative, complex characters, and a creeping sense of dread, the series keeps you hooked from the very first episode. One of the show’s biggest strengths is its cast. The performances—both from the younger versions of the characters in the past and their older counterparts in the present—are excellent. The actors bring depth and authenticity to their roles, making the characters feel real, flawed, and unpredictable. The chemistry among them strengthens both the emotional and suspenseful moments, adding weight to the unfolding mystery. The atmosphere is another standout aspect. Whether it’s the hauntingly isolated wilderness setting of the past or the tension-filled present-day storyline, the series does an excellent job of maintaining an eerie, unsettling mood. The pacing is generally solid, though some moments drag, especially in the present-day sections, where the mystery sometimes takes longer than necessary to unfold. Where "Yellowjackets" truly shines is in its psychological depth. The show doesn’t just focus on survival—it explores trauma, power dynamics, and the darker side of human nature. The horror elements are well-integrated, not relying on cheap scares but instead creeping up slowly, making the unsettling moments even more impactful. While the intrigue and character work are strong, some plotlines feel underdeveloped or stretched out, and there are moments where the writing leans into melodrama rather than meaningful progression. At times, the present-day storyline doesn’t feel as compelling as the past events, making the narrative feel slightly uneven. Overall, "Yellowjackets" is an engrossing, well-acted, and disturbing survival thriller that delivers plenty of mystery and psychological intrigue. While it has its flaws, its gripping storytelling and eerie atmosphere make it a must-watch for fans of dark, character-driven dramas.
