Kurz nachdem er nach 25 Jahren aus dem Gefängnis entlassen wurde, wird der New Yorker Mafia-Capo Dwight "The General" Manfredi von seinem Boss kurzerhand ins Exil geschickt, um sich in Tulsa, Oklahoma, niederzulassen. Dwight erkennt, dass seine Mafia-Familie möglicherweise nicht sein Bestes im Sinn hat, und baut langsam eine "Crew" aus einer Gruppe unwahrscheinlicher Charaktere auf, die ihm dabei hilft, ein neues kriminelles Imperium an einem Ort aufzubauen, der für ihn genauso gut ein anderer Planet sein könnte.
