Voronezh, early 2000s. Glamour hasn't reached the provinces yet, but salaries aren't paid in cookies anymore. The three-room apartment where the series takes place is a real "teremok". It's home to 35-year-old Dasha, an impulsive and ironic employee of a chemical plant. She's just starting to develop a relationship with the plant's manager, Roman, when her ex-husband Dima says he's reformed and wants to get her and their teenage daughter Tanya back. Her younger sister Lena, her husband Seryoga, and their two children also move into the three-room apartment after a fire in the village. Plus, Dasha and Lena's parents also live here. As a result, nine people end up under one roof. At work, Dasha fights for promotion and respect among her colleagues, and at home there's constant communal chaos: relatives make noise, argue and make peace, share cupboards and pots. Things aren't going smoothly with Dasha's teenage daughter Tanya either. Tanya dreams of love from her handsome neighbor Andrey, and at the same time tries to adapt to the new gymnasium. Seryoga wants to get rich quickly and starts dubious schemes, which each time turn into a financial disaster. Dasha's parents - mom Lyubov, the queen of shopping and a world optimist, and dad Grisha, a fan of "Brigada" and family order, watch all this farce, grumble, but always come to the rescue.
