- PhysicalMedia4Life25. juli 2026Is it on the same level as the original absolutely not, but is it a solid & worthy remake Yes. If you go into this expecting it to be as good, or god forbid even better than the original Classic, then your going to be disappointed I'm afraid to say. However if you go into it with modest expectations, you'll really like & enjoy this remake, because it is good. I do 💯 believe it all comes down to the mindset & expectations, that people go into this one with, which is really going to play a significant part and be the difference, on whether they like or dislike this Papillon remake. For me My Ratings & Scores on the "Papillon remake are a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️ & a half Stars & a 7/10

- UatuTheWatcher21. marts 2026"Papillon" is based on a true story of a French thief who becomes friends with one of his fellow prison mates, and together they plan an escape. It is the remake of the 1973 movie of the same name. Hunnam, who plays the main protagonist, gives a brilliant performance. He is an intelligent actor who has given his own original touch to the role. He plays the role with a lot of realism and intensity. The surprise package of "Papillon" is Rami Malek, who plays Hunnam's friend. He has given an outstanding performance that challenges the one originally done by the great Dustin Hoffman. The direction is effective and the original atmosphere of the 1973 flick has been captured well enough.
- Warren Escott12. februar 2025The book is so much better! This is a good film but it doesn't do the actual story of what he went through any justice. Well worth a watch though.
