Hvor man kan se Dødens gab
- Also a stone know this movie. Maybe it hadn't watched it, but heard about it. It's a classic and watched for the (I think) fifth time, It's a pleasure. No jump scare with aggressive audio, no splatter bloody massacres, just a great a great movie with funny parts that smoothly become serious. A great job. Advice, forget about the sequels
- My wife and I stayed at the Queen Mary at Long Beach for four nights the week of 8/10/26. We watched "The Dark Knight (2008)" indoors in the Royal Theater and "Jaws (1975)" outdoors on the Verandah Deck with the Long Beach Marina and Skyline in the background. The ONLY way to watch the movie! 😀 I originally watched the movie when I was 10-years-old right when it came out in 1975 at Morehead Plaza Cinema in the harbor town of Morehead City, NC which is the southern endpoint of the Outer Banks ferries. My family and friends took those ferries to the beaches. Needless to say, it took a very long while for me and my buddies to go back to those beaches after watching that movie! 😆 "Jaws (1975)" is Steven Spielberg's second major feature-length theatrical release and a timeless classic as one of the top thrillers of all time! You will not be disappointed,, even watching it again many years after its release! Many times👍!!!
- It’s been years since I first saw it, and to this day, I can’t help but think of that man-eating great white whenever I’m swimming in any body of water. The idea of something lurking beneath the surface, unseen but ever-present, becomes your constant companion. And that’s where John Williams’ haunting score kicks in, sealing the deal.
- Jaws is a masterclass in storytelling. Every scene builds tension, and the strong performances keep you invested from beginning to end. The town's greed adds another layer of conflict, while the final act becomes a classic tale of three men setting out to slay the dragon—only this time, it's a great white shark. The shark may not look entirely believable today, but the film's pacing, characters, and suspense make it a timeless classic.
- On my like 50th rewatch of Jaws it still holds up as one of the greatest movies of all time. Positives: - The movie is extremely well made, well directed, well shot, well edited, and well paced - The way they utilized the shark in the film and how they brought it to life is mind blowing - The score is both iconic and terrifying - The performances are great - The characters are great - The premise is simple but executed to perfection - The film has a lot of iconic lines that are extremely quotable Overall Jaws is an iconic masterpiece from Steven Spielberg and easily one of the greatest movies ever made.
- While it would be one of, if not the biggest challenges, a modern filmmaker would ever likely face. Not because the bar that was set by Spielbergs masterpiece; but also with how beloved and how embedded into the popculture this film is. It's such an iconic piece of cinema. From the very bone chilling and scary opening to the unforgettable climax. With all of the characters, performances, dialogue and the whole delivery & timing of the dialogue. To the whole atmosphere and John Williams iconic score. And with how the shark was utilised through "POV" shots, power of suggestion and using the score as a signal, to let us know its prescence. The fact that Bruce the mechanical shark wasn't working, for most of the making Jaws, proved to be the best happy accident in the history of film. Everything just came together intentionally & unintentionally through the malfunctioning of the mechanical shark. Jaws was such a lightning 🌩🍾 in a bottle film. The USS Indianopalis Speech is my personal favourite part of the entire film. It's such a powerful, memorable & iconic speech from Quint. But here's the question: 👇 Could a modern filmmaker actually make a successful Jaws remake, or is it one of those films that should simply be left alone? 🦈 For those of you who think it can be remade. Please let me know who you think, would be the best choice to remake it as well. That would be very a very interesting topic to discuss.
