Eddington
Boring, not as smart as it thinks it is

The Bad Guys
I loved when Wolf said “Maybe the real bad guys was the friends we made along the way”
The Bad Guys
The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Probably the most visually stunning MCU film to date, cast is great, and a few 10/10 sequences. Everything in space is peak. But this is a very uneven film. Last hour is noticeably weaker than the first, and I don’t think the ending was all that satisfying. And while I mentioned the cast being great, I think some characters (cough cough the thing) have very little to do.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Bambi: The Reckoning
if these just leaned into being dark comedies they’d actually be something entertaining at least. This isn’t unwatchable, but it’s for sure not a good movie.

Freaky Friday
not bad, if only this Friday was a little freakier tho

I Know What You Did Last Summer
going into this movie I knew it would be dumb, but I was hoping it would at least be entertaining. But no, this is just dumb and boring for the most part. The reveals are eye roll level. Some okay kills, mostly just bland.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Screw it, this movie deserves 5 stars. This is my 3rd rewatch and I’ve liked the movie more every time I watch it. Every single character gets their own beautiful moment to shine. Gunn walks the tightrope perfectly between the deeper moments while still having downright hilarious moments. I already loved Superman, but if James Gunn can bring this level of emotion to his Superman sequels we might be in for some all timers.

Smurfs
James corden voices a Smurf who travels through the multiverse… why does this exists

Frankenstein
Bring back having a guy introduce the movie and warning the audience it’s going to be spooky (ik it was a marketing gimmick but still)
Frankenstein
No Country for Old Men
If you made a movie this good in 2025, the streaming overlords would take you out back and execute you. First time revisiting this since my freshman year of high school I believe. Not much to say that hasn’t been said a million times before, it’s simply a complete masterclass across the board.

Hit me right in the feels

The Suicide Squad
Felt like my 4.5 rating was a bit high for this movie so had to rewatch before my James Gunn ranking. Happy to confirm that this movie still absolutely slaps. Gunn just knows what he’s doing. Now I’m just wondering if he’ll bring Margot back as Harley Quinn or not for the DCU thought.
The Suicide Squad
Superman
Marvel losing James Gunn to DC will go down as one of the biggest fumbles of all time. He just gets it man. This is what Superman should be. It’s bright, colorful, funny, and full of heart. Every character has such a distinct personality and look that feels ripped straight out of a comic. The score of course is great. John Murphy + the classic John Williams theme = peak. And Gunn really holds back on using pop music for most of this film, but the few needle drops really worked for me. I’m kinda all onboard for what Gunn is building at DC. This world is so fantastical and I’m ready to explore many more stories in it. He cooked.

Funny Face
The entire premise being Audrey Hepburn having a “Funny Face” is crazy work ngl.
