- ReviewedTed Lasso • S4October 23, 2026Just be aware that the first few episodes are annoying and pointless. Characters are caricatures of themselves, and humour is based around the f-word. There's little excitement initially, and less to learn. BUT it all comes together from about episode 6. Some characters are still annoying, but they're not as "loud" and there are genuine laugh out loud moments. Characters come to life and it's easy to share the joy and sorrow they feel. By all means sleep the first few episodes, if you have to, but don't miss the last few.

I realise some people don't understand the concept of rating each individual episode, but the first few episodes could easily be skipped to get to the good stuff.

There are a few gems, and the show is strangely compelling. Maybe I just want to see its former glory, and this reflects the whole series storyline.
