- ReviewedThe RescueOctober 23, 2026If you've never heard of the 2018 Tham Luang cave rescue, don't look it up before watching this. I had heard of the incident, but I was ignorant of the details. A knowledge of what happened, going into this film, will ruin the edge-of-your-seat factor. 2 feature films, a 6-part Netflix series, and a handful of documentaries have been made about it, and it was major international news at the time, so those few not in the know will enjoy it more, I think.

Sometimes it's just an opportunity for bad people to let their worst impulses gain control. The black and white narrative of good vs. evil in the second world war is not based in reality. This film explores the gray.
