- Swapped
Swapped's story felt overdone and generic with a predictable plot and animation that feels halfway between AI Slop and a Pixar copycat. It's a fun watch when you want to shut your brain off and enjoy the decently unique creature designs of plant bird, oversized chipmunk, and fire wolf (literally the name of the villain). Overall this movie could not be more derivative if it tried while also still being made by real people.Swapped - Disclosure Day
Spielberg brought his signature style of making an emotional roller coaster on the silver screen. Disclosure day has moments of mystery, action, and wonder, but under all of it lies a hodgepodge of his previous films like E.T The Extra Terrestrial, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I don't think it mixes the elements from his previous works well enough The last third of the film feels like it drags with everyone practically submitting to the main character with almost no real pushback. The cgi is well animated but none of it feels real or cohesive with the live action elements. Overall I enjoyed the film as an otherworldly spectacle, but anything above that should be taken with heavy grains of salt.Disclosure Day
