Monami’s father tells her that they will definitely celebrate Diwali but not together. Monami is shocked to hear what her dad said and asks her what he means? He tells her that she’ll be leaving for London, he has set up everything for her and this is a Diwali gift for her. Monami tries to convince her father that she doesn’t want to go and can continue working here but her father says that she cannot stay here.
