The first few episodes are actually pretty interesting, with a mystery that had me curious to see where things were heading. Ancient secrets, Nazi conspiracies, religious mysteries and the end of the world — there's plenty to work with here. But the further into the season you get, the more ridiculous the whole thing becomes, as if the writers kept throwing in new twists without stopping to think whether any of it made sense. By the end, the clunky dialogue, thin characters and increasingly convoluted plot have really worn me down. Anthony Edwards does his best with the material, but there's only so much he can do when the writing goes completely off the rails. It's a shame, because the initial premise had potential, but the show just gets wackier and more absurd with every episode. Honestly, it's not hard to see why it got cancelled.
