- EnochLight28. maj 2026I can’t say enough good things about Widows Bay. It feels like a perfect mix of Stephen King-style small-town horror and the quirky charm of Northern Exposure. The fictional New England island (clearly inspired by real places like Salem) is atmospheric and full of mystery, with every foggy dock and creaky house feeling like it’s hiding something terrible. What makes the show work so well is the balance between horror and comedy. It’s creepy enough to keep you uneasy, but the humor never feels forced or cheesy. The characters are eccentric but genuinely likable, and even the side characters feel memorable. Episode six, directed by Ti West, is especially fantastic—slow-burning period piece, unsettling, and beautifully shot. The show manages to be eerie, sometimes funny, and oddly heartfelt all at once. Bottom line: Widows Bay is one of the most refreshing horror-comedy series I’ve seen in years. Smart, atmospheric, and incredibly entertaining. Absolutely worth watching.
