Last Shift
As far as Paimon movies go Heredity is the clear winner. Too much of a slow burn with not enough creep factor. The 'family' is generic if not a little goofy at times. If you're an avid horror fan you'll see everything coming before hand.

Magic
A very strange yet compelling story. Hopkins performance is somewhat marred by a less than consistent New York accent.

Red Rocket
Rex's performance is great as is most of the casts. It feels as if Baker was unsure of how to end the film and there is no real resolution for characters. Does Rex's character learn anything? Do his actions amount to consequences, revelation, insight? Not really. As such the ending is a bit flat and anticlimactic.

Apocalypse Now
I'm increasingly convinced Coppola is not a good director. The Redux cut is IMO does not enhance the story. The addition of the plantation scenes stall the narrative, and while perhaps offering a interesting aside to the colonialism of Vietnam by the French it's placement in the timeline is awkward. It's a stumble right before the crescendo that's been building for 2 hours.

Interview With The Vampire • Season 1
Inspired. A fun ride that doesn't take itself too seriously while it's leads still hand in stellar performances. Reid's Lestat hits all the marks that Cruz and Townsend missed.

Oculus
Couldn't get past the lead actresses performance. Rather forced and an oddly unappealing approach. Her resentment read bratty and it irked me enough to pull me out of the story. Unfortunately I didn't recover and only made it about 30 mins in. I didn't even get to Jared Harris whom I always enjoy.
