Allies in the fight against TB! Not always agreeing on how best to engage in that battle.
Of course, there are TONS of other reasons that TB is good at being bad. And, indeed, it replicates slowly not just because of it's massive, expensive cell wall, but also because it seems like there is evolutionary advantage in doing that. Possibly because we have lived with it for so long, TB has evolved to be a long and lingering disease rather than one that explodes and kills quickly.
What a mess life is.
