Started in 1781 and in use till the early 1900's, Huell meets up with a couple of amateur archaeologists who have uncovered a 'lost' section of the Mother Ditch, or Zanja Madre. Velas shares her knowledge of this popular Victorian art form with Huell, as well as her inspired painting of the Los Angeles basin housed inside the Tswuun Tswuun Rotunda.
