Huell will also hear from LAUSD Board President Marlene Canter about what positive steps the school district is taking to improve children’s health and well-being. She spearheaded the successful effort to ban the sale of soft drinks and junk food in LAUSD schools. Huell then visits the Roybal Comprehensive Health Center to learn about its model diabetes management program linked to the LAC/USC Medical Center.
