The women however refuse to participate until the dirtiest young Viking takes a bath, which all Halvar's men revile. Fake bathing fails, but druid Rube digs up a novelty he once received from a Gallic colleague, called soap, but he ignores how it works. Playing with it, Wickie finds out and tricks the smelly knave into cleansing.
