Season 2

Detective Hu Xiaoman meets low level criminal Da Bao during an investigation of a missing heiress. Inspite of being on opposite sides of the law, the two work together to solve cases.

    Episode 4Yu Ze suspects that his ex-girlfriend Hui Zhong was killed by Dylan and wants Da Bao to investigate his background. At that time, Dylan was a lawyer and Hui Zhong was an undercover cop. She was murdered during her investigations and Yu Ze feels that Dylan had a part to play.

    Episode 5Zheng Yi checks on Dylan and finds out that Dylan's family possibly faced a massacre, hence him being an orphan. She discovers that over 10 years ago, there was a family tragedy that could have involved Dylan.

    Episode 6Yu Ze discovers that Huang Guo Qiang was killed by Dylan. Xiao Man also discovers that Yu Ze is down with a serious illness. Xiao Man and Yu Ze go to Dylan's home to bring him in. Dylan tells Xiao Man that he has discovered a tracking device in his home and it was Yu Ze who left it there.

    Episode 7Zheng Yi and Xiao Man get Yu Ze to undergo an operation and it is a success, though Yu Ze's mobility has been greatly affected. Dylan sneaks into the hospital to try and harm Yu Ze.

    Episode 8Xiao Man and Zheng Yi grieve over Yu Ze's death and swear to help Yu Ze fulfill his dying wish of finding his girlfriend's killer. Xiao Man knows Dylan wants to take revenge for Thomas because Thomas was sexually assaulted by Guang Ming. She decides to make use of Guang Ming to get Dylan to make a move.

    Episode 9Dylan is captured after killing Guang Ming but as he hit his head, he suffers from memory loss. Qiu Jun is angry with Xiao Man for causing the death of Guang Ming and Xiao Man berates herself. Xiao Man looks for Jie Yu to try and hypnotize Dylan to obtain the truth of his background.

    Episode 10Xiao Man and Lang Feng question Dylan and Dylan admits to his crimes. He helps to take revenge on fathers who have sexually assaulted children and tape down their confessions and guilt. But he denies having anything to do with Hui Zhong and Yu Ze's deaths.

    Episode 11Zhenyi and Ah Ni pity Hong Bo and his sister for the abuse they have received. Hong Bo tells Zhengyi that he and his sister Le Lin were kidnappers in their past lives, and hence have to suffer in this life. Zhengyi feels that Hong Bo is suffering from delusions.

    Episode 12Xiaoman and her team find a death at the fire scene and suspect that this case has something to do with Bamboo. Zhengyi trails Big Small Eye to look for Bamboo but discovers that Bamboo has been murdered. The person who called the police was actually Big Small Eye. The case leaves everyone even more puzzled.

    Episode 13Xiaoman releases Luo Ji and Big Small Eye and follows them. Both blame each other for their situations and Luo Ji tries to kill Big Small Eye. Xiaoman and Lang Feng give chase after Luo Ji but he escapes.

    Episode 14Luo Ji is murdered and his method of death is the same as Bamboo. The police suspect it's the same killer. Shi San accidentally kills Gui Gong Wang and Zhengyi tries to help him flee. Xiaoman discovers this and asks Zhengyi to persuade Shi San to give himself in.

    Episode 15Jie Yu sees Hong Bo to counsel him but gets held hostage instead. Hong Bo wants to see Le Lin so that he can die with her.

    Episode 16Zhengyi gets kidnapped and Xiaoman rushes to the old building to look for her. She sees Big Small Eye being hung to death but is unable to do anything.

    Episode 17Xiaoman analyses the cases of Dylan, Yuze, Hong Bo, and Le Lin and suspects there's a mastermind behind all the cases. She works with Zhengyi to find out who.

    Episode 18Lang Feng reveals that he has evidence to show that Xiaoman framed her professor in the past. Xiaoman is shocked that Lang Feng has not turned her in but he admits his feelings for her and hopes she will quit the force on her own.

    Episode 19Xiaoman brings in Jie Yu and accuses her of being the mastermind behind all the murders. Jie Yu denies it and tells her she is no different from the past when she framed her professor. Xiaoman tells Jie Yu that he was not as innocent as everyone thought.

    Episode 20Xiaoman is furious and tries to kill Jie Yu but finally decides to let the law take charge. She finds out another big secret and when Lang Feng tries to look for her, he realizes that she has disappeared.
