They have seen great bridges and great buildings emerge but, along with them, not so innocent phenomena have also emerged from their bowels. Huge crime syndicates and gangster gangs have accompanied the development of these large cities to the point of forming authentic underworlds. Even so, these groups have maintained fluid relations with the cities that housed them and are now part of their geography and history.
