Twin Peaks Ratings & Reviews

“my family, my friend, i have crisscrossed this great land of ours countless times. i hold the map of it here, in my heart, next to the joyful memories of the carefree days i spent as a young boy here in your beautiful town of twin peaks. from alexandria, virginia, to stockton, california, i think about lewis, and his friend clark: the first caucasians to see this part of the world. their footsteps have been the highways and byways of my days on the road. my shadow is always with me... sometimes ahead... sometimes behind… sometimes to the left... sometimes to the right… except on cloudy days… or at night.” wally brando is the single greatest character ever created in the history of human storytelling. my entire theater was dying at his entire scene with his parents and sheriff truman. that fuck ass photoshopped christmas photo of grown ass michael cera’s face on a toddler’s body is the funniest thing in the world. naomi watts is an absolute treasure and the contrast between her janey-e and kyle maclachlan’s dougie is so funny. the drafthouse finished the screenings for seasons one and two of twin peaks and i missed their screening of fire walk with me (which i ended up rewatching at home). aside from that (which i got to screen last year in theaters), i officially got to watch all of twin peaks in theaters and that’s a blessing.

What a ride. I see why this show is loved by so many. Such an intriguing story with any amazing cast of characters. Gonna miss this show. Thank you David Lynch, rest in peace.

There are no better tv shows than Twin Peaks and Star Trek TNG. Ever in the history of television. we can now focus on grassroots social innovations, rather than to conceive of any other television show ever. That's it.

Twin Peaks is one of those shows that completely defies explanation. If you asked me what it was actually about, I honestly couldn’t give you a clean answer—and yet, if you asked whether I liked it, I’d immediately say yes. And if you asked whether I wanted more seasons, the answer would be absolutely. Its strangeness, dreamlike logic, and bizarre mystery were captivating in a way few series have ever matched. Even when I had no idea where the story was going, I wanted to follow it. David Lynch and Mark Frost created a world that felt familiar yet unsettling, small-town cozy yet quietly haunted by something inexplicable. The characters were odd but magnetic, the atmosphere thick with secrets, and the tone unlike anything else on television at the time. Watching Twin Peaks was like being pulled into someone else’s beautifully weird dream. You don’t understand it—but you can’t stop watching.

Eccentric characters, weird plots, strangely addicting
  • The Gutter MonkeyMay 13, 2025
Incredibly weird and addictively confusing. Like most of Lynch's work, working out its puzzle is over half the fun.
