Milquetoast Maynard plans on killing his wife, unaware that a pair of nosy sisters across the street have just killed one of their husbands. Maynard has a cozy love-nest for himself and his paramour Babs but his penurious wife interferes with these philandering ways, so the would-be Lothario hastens his plan of removing his wife from his life.
