    Thomas & GordonThomas the Tank Engine works at the Big Station, fetching coaches for the bigger engines. He keeps teasing Gordon the Big Engine, making him very cross. When the Shunter later accidentally forgets to uncouple Thomas from Gordon's coaches, Gordon decides to be really fast to tire Thomas out.

    Edward & GordonEdward is feeling sad, as all the other engines are bigger and younger than him. But when Gordon gets stuck whilst pulling trucks up a hill, it's Edward to the rescue.

    The Sad Story of HenryHenry, a big green engine, doesn't want to risk paintwork being ruined by rain, so refuses to leave a tunnel he enters on a trip. But he may end up being there longer than he wants as he ends up being bricked up.

    Edward, Gordon and HenryHenry is sad that he is stuck in the tunnel, and Gordon is having fun teasing him whenever he passes. One day Gordon's safety valve bursts just outside the tunnel. Edward is the only other engine available, but the train is too heavy for him. How could the situation possibly be resolved?

    Thomas's TrainThomas wants to pull a train instead of just shunting coaches for the big engines, who laugh and say he wouldn't be able to do it. One night Henry is ill, and next morning he still isn't better. He is due to pull the morning train, and when no other engine is available, Thomas has to pull the train. He is so excited, he doesn't notice until too late that he has started before being coupled to the train, leaving his coaches and passengers left stranded at the platform!

    Thomas and the TrucksThomas is offered to switch jobs with Edward for a day since he wants to do more important things, but doesn't take the warnings seriously that freight-trucks are troublemakers.

    Thomas and the Breakdown TrainThomas is in the yard shunting when new engine James rushes past with a goods train yelling for help. James has wooden brakes and the trucks are pushing him down the line. The alarm goes - James has crashed into a field of cows. Thomas has to get the Breakdown Train and help James. Afterwards, the Fat Controller gives Thomas a very special reward.

    James and the CoachesJames' showing off results in anger and others avoiding him, but he thinks he's being put below Gordon and takes out his frustration on the freight-cars...and ends up stuck when they can't run anymore.
  • Troublesome Trucks

    Troublesome TrucksDetermined to be a useful engine after he damaged one of his coaches, Sir Topham Hatt assigns James to pull some freight cars. James has trouble with the freight cars while trying to climb up Gordon's Hill, but he managed to make the troublesome train behave, finally earns Sir Topham Hatt's respect and he allows James to keep his red coat.

    James and the ExpressGordon boasts to James that he is the only engine who can pull the Express. One day he sets off with it, but due to points problems he comes back to the station feeling very sheepish. Another engine will now have to take over the job of pulling the Express for the day, but who will it be?

    Thomas and the GuardOne day Thomas is late with his train due to Henry being late at the Junction, and when the Guard blows his whistle Thomas zooms off - without giving the Guard enough time to get on the train! Annie & Clarabel try to stop him, but Thomas continues to steam on!

  • Thomas, Terence and the Snow

    Thomas, Terence and the SnowOne autumn day, Thomas meets a Terence the tractor and mocks his caterpillars, thinking them ugly. Winter soon arrives with heavy snow, and Thomas is forced to wear his uncomfortable snowplough. He shakes and bangs the snowplough and by the end of the day it's too damaged to use again. The next day, his crew find they cannot fix the snowplough in time, Thomas much to his delight. He continues his work, without his snowplough. But when Thomas runs into a deep snowdrift and gets stuck, he immediately regrets breaking his snowplough. Bertie arrives to take Thomas' passengers, and Terence comes to the rescue. Terence pulled Annie and Clarabel away, and then came back for Thomas. Thomas thanks Terence and promises to be sensible from now on.

    Thomas and BertieBertie the Bus challenges Thomas to a race, to see who can get to the end of the line first. Thomas faces obstacles such as stations, signals and a slow start, Bertie has bus stops and traffic lights - who will win?
  • Tenders and Turntables

    Tenders and TurntablesGordon, Henry, and James hate the extra work without Thomas and they decide to rebel after Gordon and James each have an embarrassing experience with the turntable their size requires them to use.
  • Trouble in the Shed

    Trouble in the ShedHenry, Gordon and James decide to go on strike, declaring that "Tender Engines don't shunt!" The Fat Controller sends Edward to do the work; but when poor Edward is being teased, the Fat Controller then decides to buy a new tank engine called Percy.
  • Percy Runs Away

    Percy Runs AwayPercy, Thomas, and Edward enjoy some free time for helping out, but Percy enjoys himself too much to be careful and is almost run into by Gordon - then has a delayed reaction and takes off backward.
  • Coal

    CoalHenry keeps feeling ill, unlike the other engines. It turns out that Henry's firebox is much smaller than the other engines', so the Fat Controller orders special Welsh coal that will allow Henry to work better. The Green Engine is thrilled with the results.
  • The Flying Kipper

    The Flying KipperHenry collides with a goods train while pulling "The Flying Kipper". The Fat Controller sends him to Crewe for repairs and he comes back with a new shape and a larger firebox meaning that he no longer needs special coal.
  • Whistles and Sneezes

    Whistles and SneezesGordon becomes a little too above himself but learns a lesson when his whistle valve comes out of place causing quite a noise! Meanwhile, some boys also soon learn a lesson after throwing stones at Henry and his coaches from an overhead bridge.
  • Toby and the Stout Gentleman

    Toby and the Stout GentlemanToby, a tram-engine with little work, gets a chance to spend time with people who truly appreciate him, like the Fat Controller whom he doesn't know, but soon faces his railway's closing down.
  • Thomas in Trouble

    Thomas in TroubleThomas has unknowingly been illegally going down the public quarry way without equipment, so is considered a problem. But it may be a second chance for Toby, the unused tram.
  • Dirty Objects

    Dirty ObjectsJames calls Toby and Henrietta "dirty objects" because of their shabby look. He tells them that you will never see his paint dirty. However, it's Toby who has the last laugh when James collides with some tar wagons.
  • Off the Rails

    Off the RailsGordon scorns Henry for the accident that wasn't his fault, but Henry still gets to pull the Express, to his jealousy. Gordon doesn't want to pull freight-cars, so tries to jam the turntable, and sinks himself.
  • Down the Mine

    Down the MineGordon is in disgrace after falling in the ditch. Thomas teases him about it, saying he has, "A funny, musty, sort of smell!"Later, Thomas has to deliver trucks to an old Lead Mine. The ground beneath the rails running overhead is weak and whilst it can support the weight of trucks, it can't support the weight of an engine. But Thomas ingnores the "Danger" signs.
  • Thomas's Christmas Party

    Thomas's Christmas PartyIt's Christmas on the Island of Sodor, and after Edward reminds the engines of last Christmas when an ill Mrs Kyndley waved her dressing gown out of her window to save Thomas from a landslide, Thomas decides to thank Mrs Kyndley properly by having a Christmas party for her. The Fat Controller agrees. However, on the day of the party, Mrs Kyndley is trapped in her house by snowdrifts, so Thomas, Toby and Terence go to her rescue.
