Rector Sarah Lunn is on a mission in and around Appleby-in-Westmorland, as she works hard to keep traditions alive and communities bonded across her twelve parishes. In Kirkby Stephen, pensioner Hazel Champion readies herself for the weekly trip to Hawes, so she can stock up on provisions and catch up with her family. And in Upper Wharfdale, Dave Younger and 11-year-old son Giuseppe join the rest of the Two Dales Metal Detecting club, as the hills are alive with the sound of beeping when rare finds are unearthed. - Episode 5E5
