At the height of the Roman Empire, Caesar Octavius Augustus moved to the city of Tarraco (now Tarragona) to command the battle that his army waged with the Asturians and Cantabrians, the last Hispanic tribes to refuse to submit to the power of Rome. With him arrives Pompeu Scipio, Caesar's personal physician, accompanied by his family. Once in Tarraco, the Scipios will have to start from scratch along with some new Hispanic slaves.
