Then a fantastic and fun appearance by everybody's favorite drummer Buddy Rich. Buddy sits in with the band for a bit for some improvisation (and good old fashioned showing off). Then opera singer Marilyn Horne drops in to add a touch of class for the evening. Next we have some comedy skits with the Ace Trucking Co. Finally, former first daughter Margaret Truman discusses her soon to be released book about her father, President Harry S. Truman. President Truman himself passed away about a month after this show aired.
