This program follows a veterinarian in England who treats animals with severe and/or life-threatening injuries. He has a state-of-the-art veterinary facility, but he also uses procedures that he has invented to care for the animals who come in. He has an excellent bedside manner for his four-legged patients and their two-legged "parents."

    Episode 5Toy poodle Monty was jumped on by a larger dog, damaging his hip joint. Monty is so small that very few surgeons can perform a complex total hip replacement on such a miniature scale, so the family are hoping that Noel can help. Another two-year-old, 75kg Caucasian shepherd dog Odin, has a condition where malformed vertebrae in his neck are putting pressure on his spinal cord, causing pain and impairing the nerve signals to his back legs.
