Nicolas Valeyre is the substitute teacher who arrives at Marie Curie High School. An original and uncompromising French teacher, with different ways and methods. His demonstrated aversion to social interaction and his peculiar style disturb the high school hierarchy while at the same time inspiring confidence in his students.
