Papa Smurf falls in love with a woodnymph named Flowerbell, unaware that her seductive charms are part of a plot hatched by Balthazar to capture all the woodland animals, in his latest scheme to overthrow Lord Homnibus and rule the kingdom with an autocratic hand. But Flowerbell's freedom, much less livelihood, will depend on her success.
