Homer discovers that he has an illegitimate half-brother who is now the very successful car manufacturer Herb Powell. The Simpsons are invited to stay at Herb's mansion and, considering Homer to be an average American and typical consumer, Herb asks him to design a new car for the company. It is, however, a total disaster and results in Herb's bankruptcy.
