Lucas McCain is helping a neighbor whose husband is away for a while, when Marshal Micah Torrance arrives. He's there to warn her that a woman alone at home was attacked and that she should be extra cautious until her husband returns. Meanwhile, traveling book salesman Jason Gowdy stops at the McCain ranch and has a good chat with Mark. He's quite interested in hearing that Lucas is off helping a woman is who is all alone.
